Privacy
Kickabout has no accounts and no ads. We use analytics to understand how the map is used, so we can make it better.
Your analytics choice
Not chosen yet: analytics is anonymous until you choose.
Analytics
We use PostHog, hosted in the EU. It records which pages you visit and a few actions on the map, such as searching for a place, opening a pitch, or tapping Directions, along with your browser, device type and approximate country.
Unless you choose Allow, nothing is stored on your device and visits can’t be linked across days. If you allow it, PostHog stores an anonymous ID on your device so we can count returning visitors. We never see your name, email or exact location.
Your location
“Pitches near me” asks your browser for your location to centre the map. It stays on your device and is not sent to our analytics.
Services the map uses
To show the map, your browser loads map tiles from CARTO. Place search sends what you type to Photon by Komoot. Pitch weather is fetched from Open-Meteo using the pitch’s location, not yours. Pitch data comes from OpenStreetMap.
